A Mardi Gras Thriller – UNTIL DEATH Back to Blog

I love Mardi Gras. Growing up, I would attend every parade that I possibly could. And these days, I make sure my son gets to see the floats when they come booming by us. 😉

Since I love Mardi Gras so much, it’s really not surprising that I had to write a book that featured the parades. A few years ago, I released UNTIL DEATH. I figured for some #ThrowbackThursday fun, I’d share more about that book:

When Ivy DuLane witnesses a murder during the madness of Mardi Gras, she enters a deadly cat and mouse game with the killer. The city has gone wild with the annual celebration, and Ivy has to rely on sexy homicide detective—and her ex-lover—Bennett Morgan for help. But with every moment that passes, the killer grows bolder, and the body count starts to rise. It soon becomes very hard to tell the innocent from the guilty…especially since Bennett is keeping dark secrets of his own.

Mardi Gras societies are cloaked in secrecy. The balls are huge, elaborate affairs where the drinks flow very, very heavily…and I always thought, wow, what a perfect scene for a crime. With so many people, with so much happening, this would be the perfect place to commit a murder. Yes, while other folks are celebrating around me, I’m plotting murders. It’s what I do. 😉
