Happy Summer!!! The long, lazy days of summer (okay, sometimes, they are not-so-lazy) are here! And what better way to kick off the summer than with a big party? CataRomance (including Single Titles & Sensual Reads) is doing a site relaunch, and to celebrate that relaunch, they’ve organized a huge blog hop.
I’m happy to be participating in the blog hop, and, for my prize, I am going to give an autographed copy of ANGEL BETRAYED to one commenter. As you can probably figure out from the blurb, the hero of ANGEL BETRAYED is a bad boy, um, fallen angel. He’s dark. He’s dangerous. He’s the guy that you want on your side in a fight. He’s no knight in shining armor. He’s the angel with lost wings. 😉

For me, I’ve got a top five list of reasons for liking those bad boys:
1. Bad boys tend to have sex appeal to spare.
2. Real life can be boring and mundane. In my books, I want danger. I want excitement. I want those bad boys.
3. Because Spike made me enjoy the bad boys. Oh, Spike, you were such a tease. Why, why did Buffy have to end?
4. I’m not perfect. I don’t think my hero should be, either.I don’t want him to be.
5. Bad boys have attitude, they have swagger…and they usually have six pack abs.

I like bad boys for all the reasons you mention. But, the baddest bad boy always has that touch of goodness, at least towards his woman. I was a huge Spike fan too.
I kept hoping Spike would get his own spin-off show, but then he showed up on Angel (and that kept me going for a while…)
I love bad boy heroes. They tempt you to walk on the wild side and they have this dangerous edge that is exciting.

As for why I like bad boys, they are tempting, exciting and thrilling and hide a soft caring side for the heroine.

I like bad boys because they usually make things more exiting and are a little dangerous. But on the flip side I sometimes enjoy the white knight because its nice to have someone to count on. Okay I’ll take a bad boy with a hidden white knight side.

I love reading about bad boys…they are sexy, dark and somewhat dangerous which is always appealing. They are usually the boys your parents tell you to stay away from so of course that always makes them appealing and there’s also the element of wanting to reform the bad boy so that you can take him home and have the best of both worlds. I love the bad boys because I like to see them melt when they meet the right woman. They may be closed off and distant but they open up around her.
What isn’t to love a bad boy. They are sexy and stubborn.
I love reformed bad boys, so alpha and confused as their softer side starts to show.

Oh those sexy bad boys ~ always take my breath away. I think their allure stems from wanting the most out of life. Those bad boys do everything on their own terms – breaking the rules, living dangerously. They usually have some sort of dark secret that tortures them and to think that we could be that one special woman that can soothe their soul and end their torment ~ how sweet is that feeling of healing and power? If only I had my own bad boy, what I could do with him…*sigh*

I definitely have a thing for bad boys! They’re usually hot, Alpha, annoying, flawed, damaged…and redeemable. Even though bad boys are just about guaranteed to get you into some “interesting” situations, they ALWAYS have your back!

I like bad boys because they have that carefree attitude that I would love to have. . you know that ‘devil may care’ type attitude. . ‘I don’t care what you think’. . an attitude that I sometimes envy.
